A traditional stone cottage with infinity pool and views over the sea to Ithaca.
Recently updated and restored to a very high standard the house has a generous main living area with plenty of seating and views across the sea channel to Ithaca. There are two bedrooms, one twin and one double, each with en-suite shower rooms. The kitchen is well equipped with doors leading out onto one of the dining areas.
Outside there is a well designed BBQ area, plenty of lounging spots both in the sun and in the shade and a 4m x 7m infinity pool all sitting within well established gardens.
Set on the northeast coast of Kefalonia in the village of Bazoukata, the Summer House is the perfect place for early birds to watch the sun rise from behind Ithaca. If you’re lucky enough to be staying at full moon you can sit on the terrace and watch the moon rise over Ithaca, a beautiful sight to behold.

Nearby
It is a 5 minute drive from the Summer House into Fiskardo where there is a large choice of tavernas and restaurants serving local specialties as well as a number of bars where you can sit and watch the boats come into the harbour. The harbour is lined with small shops and boutiques as well as ATMs, two bakeries, supermarkets, chemist, chandler and the Fiskardo Dive Centre for those wishing to adventure beneath the waves.
The village of Magganos is a 5 minute drive and has two small supermarkets with fresh bread daily and a good selection of fruit and veg and other daily staples in the two supermarkets.
Beaches we like to visit
Within 5 minutes drive
Foki is a few minutes away by car. It is in a protected bay with a shady olive grove and a cave to swim to and explore as well as a taverna very close-by.
Within 15 minutes drive
Agia Jerusalem beach is a pebble beach with crystal clear water making for great paddling, swimming and if you like to snorkel it's worth swimming out to the rocks where you will find much more marine life than in the bay itself. In high season sun-beds are available for hire on the beach and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.
Alaties beach is small but perfectly formed where you can lap up the sunshine either on the beach itself or on the surrounding rocks. There’s good parking available and a beach bar serving food all day and into the evening where you can watch the sun set with a cocktail in hand.
Emblissi beach just outside of Fiskardo is easily accessible, has great swimming, wonderful views across to Lefkas and Meganisi. There's good parking although it does get busy in July and August.
Kimilia beach is a hidden gem accessible only by boat or by foot by following a winding forest path. We recommend you take food and as there are no facilities at the beach.
Dafnoudi beach with its crystal clear water is worth the 10-15 minute hike down from where you park. Of course you can also access the beach by boat. We recommend you take food and water as there are no facilities at the beach.
