A very popular property, The Italian's House is a charming home situated under a beautiful olive tree giving the house a sense of coolness, tranquillity and relaxation. A short walk to Alaties beach and located within beautiful countryside.
The large internal living area is open plan and generous in size, with an open kitchen, dining and a sitting area. The front patio, shaded by olive trees and bougainvillea has lovely views of the sea and countryside, a perfect place to enjoy the glorious sunsets. Wide doors give a sense of continuity between interior and exterior spaces.
All 3 bedrooms have direct access to the garden and terraces. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower and there is a further bathroom, again with a shower. On the back patio, shaded by trees, is an outdoor shower (with hot water), providing a perfect way to cool down after lounging on the terrace in the sunshine.
The Italian's House is within easy walking distance to the beach, approximately 800 metres, down to the sea at Alaties, with crystal clear water and a taverna/bar. Just 2 kilometres from the house is another beautiful beach, Agia Jerusalem with sun beds and umbrellas available to hire during high season and a taverna serving traditional Greek food.

"We had high expectations to the Italian's House and on arrival we were still blown away by this property and it's stylish decoration inside and out. In short - wow! The interior is in very good condition, super stylish decoration, clean and very spacious for 6 people. The exterior offers many beautiful spots to sit and read a book in the shade under the old olive trees. The best, however, is the beach a short drive away, with its clear waters and beautiful white pebbles and limestone formations, where we spent most of our time. And of course the beach bar/restaurant that serves delicious meals, cocktails and sunsets! The nearby town has great options for lunch, dinner and basic shopping. We will be back for sure!"

Nearby
The house is located in the outskirts of the quiet hamlet of Chalikeri within a 10 minute walk of Alaties beach which is a great spot for snorkelling.
Also very close by is Agia Jerusalem beach that has sun beds and umbrellas for hire in peak season, late June, July & August and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.
The village of Magganos about 5 minutes drive and has a couple of tavernas and shops for your household needs. In Fiskardo you will find shops, restaurants, ATM’s, bakery’s, bars and all sorts of activities. The village is a picturesque place with Venetian architecture and a constant stream of yachts entering and leaving. During the high season some of the biggest and most famous motor and sailing yachts visit providing constant entertainment and even the possibility of some celeb spotting.
Beaches we like to visit

Alaties beach is small but perfectly formed where you can lap up the sunshine either on the beach itself or on the surrounding rocks. There’s good parking available and a beach bar serving food all day and into the evening where you can watch the sun set with a cocktail in hand.
Agia Jerusalem beach is a pebble beach with crystal clear water making for great paddling, swimming and if you like to snorkel it's worth swimming out to the rocks where you will find much more marine life than in the bay itself. In high season sun-beds are available for hire on the beach and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.
Within 15 minutes drive
Emblissi beach just outside of Fiskardo is easily accessible, has great swimming, wonderful views across to Lefkas and Meganisi. There's good parking although it does get busy in July and August.
Foki beach is in a protected bay with a shady olive grove and a cave to swim to and explore as well as a taverna close-by.
Kimilia beach is a hidden gem accessible only by boat or by foot by following a winding forest path. We recommend you take food and as there are no facilities at the beach.
Dafnoudi beach with its crystal clear water is worth the 10-15 minute hike down from where you park. Of course you can also access the beach by boat. We recommend you take food and water as there are no facilities at the beach.
