Villa Paliokaravo | Sleeps 6 | from £1,225.00 per week
Villa Paliokaravo has a wonderfully peaceful setting with stunning views over the forest-clad mountainside and across the sea to islands of Ithaca and Lefkas. Villa Paliokaravo provides total privacy and is just a short drive of the picturesque harbour village of Fiskardo.
A quality, stone-built villa with a rustic, traditional style with unusual furnishings and perfect appeal to those guests who appreciate something different from the norm.
Ideally situated in one of Kefalonia's forest-clad hillsides with heavenly views across the sea to the small island of Ithaca. Ithaca can be seen with such clarity, typical of the Ionian, looking close enough to touch. The house is modern, yet with a hint of nostalgic charisma about its decor, Villa Paliokaravo has a charm that recreates the natural beauty of an old country cottage in the hamlet of Evreti. It is surrounded by a large natural garden being serene and private.
Designed to take full advantage of the stunning views, the villa also benefits from a private swimming pool and terrace with rattan sofas, sun loungers, tree shade and a pergola-shaded outdoor dining terrace.
Most of the accommodation is on one floor, opening out on to the pool terrace. The third bedroom is on the first floor with a balcony and sun loungers ideal for reading, enjoying a drink and watching the sunset across blue waters.
If you grow tired of looking out for sailing boats and sunsets in the horizon, take a walk in the serene countryside. Within a ten minute walk, a pathway leads from Evreti church to a hidden beach with emerald waters, while more beaches can be found along the coast.
Within 4 km you can reach the cosmopolitan colourful port of Fiskardo, famous for its beauty, unspoilt eighteenth century architecture, display of glamorous yachts amongst traditional fishing boats, picturesque fish tavernas where one can choose their lobster and fish and enjoy traditional Greek, but also international, cuisine.

Beaches we like to visit
Within 5 minutes drive
Foki beach is a few minutes away by car. The beach is in a protected bay with a shady olive grove and a cave to swim to and explore as well as a taverna close-by.
Within 15 minutes drive
Agia Jerusalem beach is a pebble beach with crystal clear water making for great paddling, swimming and if you like to snorkel it's worth swimming out to the rocks where you will find much more marine life than in the bay itself. In high season sun-beds are available for hire on the beach and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.
Alaties beach is small but perfectly formed where you can lap up the sunshine either on the beach itself or on the surrounding rocks. There’s good parking available and a beach bar serving food all day and into the evening where you can watch the sun set with a cocktail in hand.
Emblissi beach just outside of Fiskardo is easily accessible, has great swimming, wonderful views across to Lefkas and Meganisi. There's good parking although it does get busy in July and August.
Kimilia beach is a hidden gem accessible only by boat or by foot by following a winding forest path. We recommend you take food and as there are no facilities at the beach.
Dafnoudi beach with its crystal clear water is worth the 10-15 minute hike down from where you park. Of course you can also access the beach by boat. We recommend you take food and water as there are no facilities at the beach.
