Voreia Thea | Sleeps 4 | from £756.00 per week
Voreia Thea (North View) is a one storey, two bedroom with a private pool and spectacular sea views of the Ithaca channel.
The villa is nestled in to the hillside, above the picturesque and bustling harbour village of Fiskardo. Totally in keeping with the area with high wooden ceilings, locally quarried stone floors, traditional wooden shutters and windows with a large verandah and graduated terraces in the garden below.
With a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area and a spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine floor where there is a TV. The two bedrooms, one double and one twin each have an en-suite shower. The living room and bedrooms open on to a large terrace with breathtaking views over to the islands of Ithaca and on clear days you can see Lefkada with the mainland mountains of Epirus in the distance. The terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of something cool and watch the island of Ithaca turn pink from the hue of the sunset.
Below the main terrace is the mature garden with two ancient Olive trees that provide welcome shade, colourful oleander bushes, yuccas and a lemon tree. Follow the gradually sloping path from the villa to the private pool terrace. The kidney shaped pool has stone steps and is approx 8m x 4m.
The property sits below the road and has a sloping driveway with plenty of parking here or up on the road. Whilst taxis are plentiful, we always recommend hiring a car to get the most out of exploring the area.
Just a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk to the local village of Magganos which has 2 convenience shops and several places to eat. On the odd occasion you may get held up by the local shepherd moving his flock from one field to the other.

Beaches we like to visit
Within 5 minutes drive
Foki beach is a few minutes away by car. The beach is in a protected bay with a shady olive grove and a cave to swim to and explore as well as a taverna close-by.
Within 15 minutes drive
Agia Jerusalem beach is a pebble beach with crystal clear water making for great paddling, swimming and if you like to snorkel it's worth swimming out to the rocks where you will find much more marine life than in the bay itself. In high season sun-beds are available for hire on the beach and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.
Alaties beach is small but perfectly formed where you can lap up the sunshine either on the beach itself or on the surrounding rocks. There’s good parking available and a beach bar serving food all day and into the evening where you can watch the sun set with a cocktail in hand.
Emblissi beach just outside of Fiskardo is easily accessible, has great swimming, wonderful views across to Lefkas and Meganisi. There's good parking although it does get busy in July and August.
Kimilia beach is a hidden gem accessible only by boat or by foot by following a winding forest path. We recommend you take food and as there are no facilities at the beach.
Dafnoudi beach with its crystal clear water is worth the 10-15 minute hike down from where you park. Of course you can also access the beach by boat. We recommend you take food and water as there are no facilities at the beach.
