"Beautiful peaceful cottage. So private. Set on many different levels amongst ancient olive trees.
45 steps from the car to the cottage. Several places to eat in the nearby villages. All good. PICNIC for earlier in the day especially. Would return in an instant."

"Just had 7 nights at Fig Cottage which was wonderful. The location is very rural and would highly recommend hiring a car to get there, but absolutely worth it as once you arrive you are greeted by the private pool.
Once you reach the cottage there is an abundance of outdoor space; from the terrace to multiple other seating areas and sofas. Inside the property it feels so traditional but with all the modern aspects you need including a mini kitchen.
The bed was comfy, air con amazing and bathroom contained everything you needed.
There is a little path from the back gate which takes you (albeit rather overgrown) into Antipata where there are two fab restaurants and a village shop. It is also easily walkable to Dafnoudi beach and Fiscardo if needed."

"What a find! This place really exceeded our expectations - the outside space is phenomenal.
At the end of a dusty lane, you enter through a private gated drive with parking for 2-3 cars. The next level up is the pool, which has a white shady structure with comfy seating, 2 sunbeds and a table, as well as a patio spot in the sun for another 2 sunbeds. The top terrace is the property - from the door, you walk out to a fantastic deck with outdoor sofas and views over the forests, mountains and seas. The perfect sunset spot! It is very quiet and completely private. Inside is wonderful too, everything you need and comfortable beds, plus a lovely welcome package of bread, jam, milk and delicious wine.
Antipata looks like a long walk but actually can be accessed in 5 mins through a gate at the top of the garden, with 2 restaurants (both good but the Old Stone House offers an extensive menu) and a small shop.
Fiskardo & many coves are 10-15 mins drive. Thanks for a great stay!

It is a 7 minute drive from the Fig Cottage into Fiskardo where there is a large choice of tavernas and restaurants serving local specialties as well as a number of bars where you can sit and watch the boats come into the harbour. The harbour is lined with small shops and boutiques as well as ATMs, two bakeries, supermarkets, chemist, chandler and the Fiskardo Dive Centre for those wishing to adventure beneath the waves.
The village of Antipata is a 2 minute drive and has a small convenience shop, a little further in the village of Magganos there are two mini-markets with fresh bread daily and a good selection of fruit and veg. In Magganos there are a couple of Greek restaurants including Picnic where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and supper.
Beaches we like to visit
Within 5 minutes drive
Dafnoudi is a few minutes away by car. A secluded pebble beach known for its crystal-clear turquoise water, great for swimming and snorkelling, but requires a moderately steep, rocky 10-20 minute walk down through a forest from parking near Antipata, making sea shoes essential. It's a wild beach with no facilities, so take water and snacks; expect limited crowds due to the walk, but it can get busy, so early arrival is best for peace.

Within 15 minutes drive
Agia Jerusalem beach is a pebble beach with crystal clear water making for great paddling, swimming and if you like to snorkel it's worth swimming out to the rocks where you will find much more marine life than in the bay itself. In high season sun-beds are available for hire on the beach and there is a taverna serving traditional Greek food.

Alaties beach is small but perfectly formed where you can lap up the sunshine either on the beach itself or on the surrounding rocks. There’s good parking available and a beach bar serving food all day and into the evening where you can watch the sun set with a cocktail in hand.
Emblissi beach just outside of Fiskardo is easily accessible, has great swimming, wonderful views across to Lefkas and Meganisi. There's good parking although it does get busy in July and August.
Kimilia beach is a hidden gem accessible only by boat or by foot by following a winding forest path. We recommend you take food and as there are no facilities at the beach.
